It's a local network. So no ISP interference. My computers are set to
not use a proxy. And there is no proxy running in my local network.

The URL's are: http://kingtom.zapto.org/index.html <- the page that
appears cached. http://kingtom.zapto.org/new%20index.html <- the page
that’s an exact copy of the index.html, but appears properly.

Note also that as a temporary fix I copied my index.html to index.htm
and it loads as default. And since this is a "new" file to whatever is
caching it now loads properly.

What I mean by that is when you go to kingtom.zapto.org without
specifying a file index.htm is opened rather than index.html (the cached
one)

Here's a recap of everything we've figured out so far. To prevent
everyone from having to go read all posts for this thread.

You may recognize zapto.org as being one of no-ip.org's redirects, which
yes it is, but locally my DNS has authority over that domain name, so
anything .zapto.org goes to the webserver, which uses vhosts to display
the correct page (yes, that part is working).

The DNS has been verified and is working properly.

I have no proxy server configured on my browsers. Also I've tried from
other computers locally and remotely. I've cleared the cache on all
test machines with the same results. Also worth noting is from the
server computer browsing to 127.0.0.1/kingtom (the directory the vhost
uses) showed the same results.

Using Windows Explorer and opening the file as a file rather than using
http shows the correct file.

And all except for one person has seen the old page as I have. That one
person would be Dave Crawford on this mailing list. He mentioned this
in his post with this subject: "[sambar] Caching? {08}"

Just a reminder when going to the site use the /index.html and
/new%20index.html because I have an index.htm which is a copy of
index.html to get around the cache issue at the moment. And the
index.htm is set to show by default.

<<Quoted from Peter Snow:>>
maybe if you try doing a search on your machine for any files containing
a certain unique piece of code/text from the
old file, to identify
the culprit cached file?

(never written to a list before - I hope I've done this right!)

I’m searching as we speak for some text from the cached page.

Thanks,
Tom

I assume you have tried this on the same network your server is on? or
are you doing all of this from the net.. Are you remote or local network
to your server? The reason I ask this is that ISP's are known to put up
caching servers to save their precious bandwidth that your paying for.

How about shooting us a real URL so we can see what you are getting v/s
what you are supposed to be getting.
