Hello, I have 3 domains running on my Sambar server. Each domain has a few custom email addresses [[EMAIL PROTECTED], [EMAIL PROTECTED], etc.]. Today I was forwarded a email that had been forged from one of the domains. The From field of the email was obviously not a real user [[EMAIL PROTECTED]] , and of course the email was spam.
My question is - is there any way to protect from someone using your domain name for spam???? I know how easy it is to go into Outlook [Express] and put in any name and email address and send mail, but is there anything I can do on my end to stop it?? OR - is there anything I can do if I can find out where the email came from? Is this illegal in any way? TIA for any assistance, and sorry for the OT post.
