I have tried whitelisting the ip.. didn't work. I have NO ip's being
blocked anywhere.

It is curious to me that the log entry is so generic. When a spam is
blocked because of DNSBL, it is stated so in the log. If spam is blocked
because of spam.flt, it is also stated in the log, etc. This log entry
contains absolutely no info at all. The only reason I know it was bounced
as spam is because I got to view the sender's log.

The only explanation I can even think of is that the whitelist is not
consulted when an incoming email triggers one of the built in spam features
of Sambar.

I'm trying to devise a way to send an email that will trigger one of the
built in Sambar Spam rules so I can test this theory a bit further. Anyone
know of a quick and easy way to send an email that doesn't contain a FROM
field?

Paul

Paul, did you try also whitelisting the ip itself as a From: in addition to
whitelisting the users name. The other possibility might be that you have a
range of ip's set in the security rules which deny this ip [Mail Deny]
section?
