Well, the first 2 items I won't be able to help with much. Programming something like this is way beyond my ability. Testing other peoples efforts I can do. As for DNS. I run Bind, and so far have had no troubles with it. My interest in this project was to see what the creative minds of this list could come up with. I mean after all, didn't a bunch of you build a "Sambar Car Wash" at one time??? And it should also help to promote the Sambar Server Pro. This would give Tod more incentive to keep developing Sambar. It is an idea, that I thought would bring some of the talent on this list together. Apache, Debian, RedHat all have groups that take on projects just because they decide to make something useful. Why can't this group of computer nerds do the same...lol 90% of what I know about computers and servers I learned from using Sambar. Starting back in the first part of 97. MS PWS 1.0 didn't do what I wanted, but Sambar did. And I've been using it ever since. I think as time goes on, we are going to see more people who run home servers for all kinds of reasons. Why not push Sambar to the forefront. With it's easy setup and excellent documetation, it should be a prime choice for people new to this concept of communication. Any feedback is welcome.
