I'm incredibly new to all of this mapping carry-on so please don't shout...
I currently have a project for uni where we get a web-server, install a
mapper, make a website and display the results. One requirement is that we
accept Illumina and PacBio data. I decided to use bwa for both.
My problem is that when using samtools to convert from bam to sam I start
to get problems but only with the PacBio bam file created. The Illumina
seems fine. Does anybody know what I'm doing wrong or not understanding?
If anybody has experienced this before could you please let me know if it's
bwa, samtools or some other thing? There seems to be relatively little info
on PacBio data "out there".
