I am using the sam2pileup.py command in order to obtain SNP and indels .pileup file from .sam file. I make: sam2pileup.py input.sam output.pileup The output.pileup looks like this: NC_016810. 4519685 A G _ _ _ 1 G a Where can I read more about the pileup format? What does "A G _ _ _ 1 G a" mean?
