Formulates systems to parallel overall business strategies. Writes detailed description of user needs, program functions, and steps required to develop or modify computer programs. May require a Bachelors degree in a related area and 7+ years of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with relational database concepts, and client-server concepts. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of complicated tasks. May lead and direct the work of others. May report directly to a project lead or manager. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Client is looking for a seasoned Senior Business Analyst to work in the Investments IT Organization. The candidate will be responsible for creating the following types of Deliverables: Project Charters/Plans, Business/Data Requirements and Functional Specification Documents, and various Test Plans. Skills/Experience Required: . At least 15 years of full systems development life cycle experience . At least 10 years of experience in Business Systems Analysis, including using formal techniques such as data flow diagramming, process modeling, data modeling, workflow modeling etc. . At least 5 years of experience working as Business Analyst in an Investments / Asset Management environment, with extensive expertise in the following areas: ? Trading Systems (preferably Charles River) and Trade Settlement ? Investments Accounting Systems (preferably PAM) ? Data Warehousing and Reporting . Very strong knowledge of Investments data (i.e. fixed income securities, derivatives, etc.) is a MUST . Project Management skills and hands on experience required; Must have followed a formal SDLC process and must be well versed with Microsoft Project; . Strong client facing, relationship building, team player, oral and written communications skills mandatory . Must be able to demonstrate the ability to write clear, concise and measurable requirements .
