*Job Description:*
Responsible to work with users to document requirements, develop, test and
debug Business Intelligence (BI) Analysis & Reporting Solutions using the
IBM/Cognos 7 and 8 toolsets.
Additional tasks are performed using the ETL tool IBM/Cognos Decision Stream
to update and maintain the BI Data warehouse.
As required, write scope documents, status reports and technical diagrams.
The developer works closely with professional and managerial personnel of
client to assure that what is implemented satisfies stated requirements.
Proficiency with the following tools: Cognos Impromptu, Cognos Power Play
Desktop & Web, Cognos Decision Stream/Data Manger, Cognos
Metrics/Report/Query Studio, Cognos Access Manager, SQL, DB2, OLAP reports,
Cognos Catalog Mgmt and Cognos Framework Mgr
*Must have experience with the following tools: *Cognos Impromptu, Cognos
Power Play Desktop & Web, Cognos Decision Stream/Data Manger, Cognos
Metrics/Report/Query Studio, Cognos Access Manager, SQL, DB2, OLAP reports,
Cognos Catalog Mgmt and Cognos Framework Mgr

*Primary Functions and Responsibilities:*
o Receive assignment and direction from manager.
o Design, develop, test, support, maintain, and document Cognos
applications.
o Design, develop, test, support, maintain, and document Cognos
interfaces, using best practices.
o Document job assignment via the IT/Systems Application Database,
including time spent per assignment.
o Document all applications or processes in a central repository
defined by the management.
o Work with other team members to develop, document, and implement
processes correcting deficiencies, improving reliability or increasing
efficiency.
o Participate in planning and implementation of Cognos integration
with other systems or applications.
o Assist in problem analysis and resolve issues related to Cognos
Decision Stream/PowerPlay/Impromptu/Access Manager and any other Cognos
product implemented in the future.
o Participate as an active member of the programming team as well
as an active member of joint teams, as prescribed by projects and manager.
o Submit status reports to the manager weekly on prescribed day.
o Follow strict SOX guidelines and procedures.

o Assist in requirements gathering when directed by manager.
o Documentation assist in writing scope documents, status reports
and technical diagrams when directed by manager.
o Performs other appropriate departmental duties as assigned.
