Client is looking for a lead developer/designer for an exciting opportunity to work for a large company in Fargo, ND. This assignment will be 3-6 months with possible extension and will require advanced technical skills. This person will be the Lead Application Solutions Developer/Designer on the project team to determine the appropriate design for the application technologies. Must have the ability to lead and ensure proper implementation of the design by the development team and conduct code reviews. Must be comfortable directly interfacing with the customer. The candidate will be involved in analyzing requirements and functional specifications and responsible for the translation into design and program specifications. Hands-on experience with: -Object Oriented Design and Programming as well as Service Oriented Architecture and Web Services -Designing web-based applications using Model-View-Controller (MVC) architecture in .NET technology -Microsoft.NET Framework 3.5 or higher -ASP.NET, C# or VB.NET, ASP.NET MVC, XML, Web Services using .NET 3.5 (WCF) -Visual Studio 2008 or higher -Designing clustered load balanced web applications with ASP.NET -Experience with Unified Modeling Language (UML) & robust design tools (e.g. Enterprise Architect, RSA) -Experience with SQL, object-to-relational data mapping tools and database design tools (e.g. Erwin) -HTML, JavaScript -Experience developing a Domain Object Model of a system which describes the various entities involved in that system and their relationships -Experience building design artifacts - e.g. Software Architecture Document (SAD), UML Analysis & Design Models, etc. -Leadership skills - e.g. mentor team on design and coding best practices, define technical solutions, lead code reviews, etc -5+ years .NET programming experience -Advanced technical research, design, and solution creation skills -Responsible for the preparation and maintenance of project artifacts *It is a MUST that the candidate has some experience leading a small team of Junior developers. * Strong chance of contract extension. Contract length is 6 months +.
