The candidate must have experience with ETL & Datastage to qualify for this position. *JOB DESCRIPTION* *Westlake Village, CA* *Interview: Phone & Face to Face or Skype* *Application Architect* *3 months+* *Hourly rate : Open(DOE)* Responsibilities - Support the production environment of IBM DataStage version 7.5.1 for financial reporting - Provide technical education, guidance and consulting to IT customers and team members on IBM DataStage applications including Designer, Director, Manager and Administrator - Develop and support technical solutions and implementations of IBM DataStage ETL jobs from Oracle/ DB2 databases into an Oracle Data Warehouse and from Cognos publishes to an Oracle Data Warehouse - Participate in functional design review across the company Qualifications - Breadth and depth knowledge in IBM DataStage ETL applications version 7.5.1 including DataStage Designer, Director, Manager and Administrator - In depth knowledge of SQL programming language - Knowledge in IBM Cognos BI solutions like Report Studio, Analysis Studio, Query Studio preferred - Knowledge of Data Warehouse concept (Star Schema) preferred - Familiar with Project Management methodologies like SDLC - Ability to solve complex technical and business problems - Ability to work effectively in a global team environment - Self-starter; ability to work independently with minimal supervision - Strong problem solving, analytical and documentation skills - Strong verbal and written communication skills Education/ Experience Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience. 5+ years of experience in the area of Data Warehousing and IBM DataStage solutions in various versions, including systems analysis, design, development and implementation.
