Job Title: Java Developers Location: RI, NJ or Chicago location Duration: 6+ months Job Description: You will be responsible for developing, unit testing, and supporting software projects throughout all phases of the software development life cycle. The Senior Java Developer is responsible for but not limited to: Work closely with the team, product management, and QA to design and develop software applications. Develop and perform unit testing of your software. Prototype solutions as needed Document work to allow for easy hand-off to other teams. Build scalable and fault-tolerant solutions Integrate with overlapping cross-functional teams. Mentor junior software engineers. Develop solutions to real world problems and provide effort and cost estimates. Required Qualifications Required Qualifications for the Senior Java Developer Position: Strong proficiency in Java, SQL, HTML, JavaScript, and XML. Experience with high-volume scalable environments and web development frameworks such as J2EE. Experience in object-oriented design methodologies and application development. Strong communication, presentation, and writing skills. Ability to learn and adapt to new technologies. Ability to work in a fast pace iterative development environment. Good analytical and problem solving skills. Be a great team player and a technical leader. Preferred Qualifications Preferred Qualifications for the Senior Java Developer Position: Familiar with agile development practices. Practical skills in Web services, content management, and Mobile development.
