*Title: COBOL Developer* *Location: Jackson Ville, FL*
*Duration: 12 Months Contract* *Job Description:* - Must have a solid demonstrated proficiency using debugging tools (e.g., Expeditor, File Aid), and a solid demonstrated proficiency using SQL or similar type of query language. - Must have an advanced demonstrated proficiency programming in COBOL language, plus a solid demonstrated proficiency using standard desktop applications such as MS Suite and flowcharting tools such as VISIO. - Writes and/or is able to read and understand technical and functional requirements documents. - Uses Company approved design tools and product development methodology to build applications. - Creates application design specification documents from which code will be written. - Reads, writes and analyzes specification documents. - Translates specifications into code (modify existing an/or creates new). - Ensures code complies with BCBSF architectural standards. - Writes JCLs (Job Control Language) to run programs.
