Job Title: Systems Administrator
Location: Tallahassee, FL
Duration: 4 Months
Direct Client Position

Technical Experience
1. 7 or more years of experience with system administration including the
proactive monitoring of systems environment and problem resolution, user
support, printing support, system application support, Operating System
(OS) support, hardware/software system installation, configuration, and
maintenance.
2. 7 or more years of experience with business continuity and disaster
recovery planning, including the backup and restore of data, business
continuity methods and policies, system High availability and Disaster
Recovery strategy and testing.
3. 7 or more years of experience with system documentation, procurement and
contract technical services, including the procurement of cost effective
and efficient hardware/software systems, maintenance of support contracts
and maintaining the environment documentation including standard operating
procedures.
4. 3 or more years of experience with IT Service Management functionality
as it relates to change management, release management, availability
management, capacity management, IT service continuity management, service
asset and configuration management.

Service Tasks
The following tasks are for all agency-owned systems, applications, and
resources installed on UNIX/Linux & Microsoft’s operating systems and
serviced by the ESPS Platform.

1. Perform system administration including but not limited to the system
design, installation, configuration, and support of computer system
platforms from mobile devices, servers, and large-scale systems to the
deployment of clouds and the use of virtualization. This includes the
specification and implementation of all the hardware and software
structures required to support and deploy these environments, daily as work
tickets are assigned by the Department.

2. Perform proactive monitoring for high availability, system data
protection, user account management, disk storage management, hardware and
OS maintenance, and application maintenance for all agency-owned resources
serviced by the ESPS Platform to ensure stable, secure, and efficient
functioning, daily as work tickets are assigned by the Department.

3. Monitor, maintain, investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve issues
reported by users and support teams, including but not limited to providing
technical expertise to users, managers, vendors, and peers and if needed,
acting as an end user liaison to troubleshoot user IT issues with other DOH
business offices, daily as work tickets are assigned by the Department.

4. Gather information from and meet with users, vendors, project leaders,
senior management, and/or other technical staff to determine technical and
non-technical processes, procedures, and business needs. Ensure
documentation and procedures are written with clarity, applicability, and
efficiency and are reviewed and updated, if needed, on a monthly basis.
Ensure materials conform to established and relevant agency standards,
policies, and procedures.
