Works as a member of a three-to-four person team responsible for all phases of Quality Assurance for quarterly software development cycles. Act as a consultant for the test team, architects, and design engineers.
Major Duties and Responsibilities: Test planning, call flow scripting, test case execution, and test automation through shell scripting. Testing of VoIP call routing, B2B provisioning API’s and GUI”s, and MSAG address processing. Functional specification analysis and review, task breakdown, and level-of-effort estimation. Follow corporate policies and procedures. Other functions as required. Primary Skill Criteria (at least one of each of the following should be present on their resume): Keywords “self-motivated”, “fast learner”, “quick learner”, “self-directed”, “desire to learn” Keywords “strong”, “quickly”, “motivated”, “leadership”, “challenging”, “challenge” Strong technical/analytical skills Protocol or network skills (any) Programming skills (any) Desired position is in Test group (search for “test case” and/or “test plan”) UNIX/Sun Solaris system experience Specific Knowledge & Skills (highly desirable but not required): Telephony network applications such as VOIP, CDMA & GSM, SS7 and PSTN systems engineering, cellular systems engineering, GPS and navigation experience, SMSC, GMLC, MPC, HLRs, switches. IVRs, call centers. Protocols such as SIP, ISUP, TCAP, MAP, TCP/IP, SUPL. Telecom test equipment: SIPP, Ethereal, Wireshark. Data networking Scripting and basic C/C++ or Java programming. Quality orientation with a strong eye for detail. Exhibit strong verbal and written communication skills.
