This position is needed for the successful implementation of CAMP which will
re-architecture CONNECTIONS, stabilizing the current application and allow
for future enhancements.
*This is a highly complex application has 5 functional areas that are
integrated 200 windows and 300 tables.** *

*Role:*
§ The Client Server Programmer 1 is needed to perform technical
activities related to writing the instruction code using WCF, WPF and .Net,
and testing modules and components.
§ These individuals will work with the CAMP transformation of the
application to DOTNET based architecture, eliminating the reliance on the
current framework based on the Foundation for Cooperative Processing (FCP).
§ They will participate in the integration of components and linking the
new architecture to the existing FCP platform to ensure functionality is
correctly developed
*Project Status:*
§ The CONNECTIONS project is an ongoing project to provide the maintenance,
support and development activities to maintain the CONNECTIONS application.
§ The CONNECTIONS application is the New York State Statewide Automated
Child Welfare Information System (SACWIS) for OCFS, LDSS, and Voluntary
Agencies.
*This system includes the following components:*
§ Child Protective Services (CPS) Intake
§ Child Protective Services (CPS) Investigation
§ Resource Directory & Foster Adoptive Home Development (FAD)
§ Case Management / Family Services (FSS)
§ It is the intention as part of the CAMP project to phase the
transformation of the application to a .NET based architecture which will
eliminate the reliance on the current framework based on the Foundation for
Cooperative Processing (FCP).
There are three major sections of functionality that are to be isolated and
re-engineered as part of a phased implementation. This expenditure request
is to establish the three core teams that will supplement current state
resources to re-architect and implement the updated subsystems
