Job Title: Integration Architect Location: Minneapolis, MN Duration: 10 months Contract Client: Xcel Energy Project: Financial Management System (FMS) Write-up: Experience delivering complex integrations by translating business requirements into architectural specifications and validating the technical solution. Experience working with leadership team to present solutions. Experience going into a project that is already in flight. Job Description: The position is for a technical integration architect for the FMS Project. Resource will ensure the FMS application efficiently and effectively integrates to enable the fulfillment of business requirements. In this role, the person must work with Business and IT stakeholders in understanding integration business requirements, create viable alternative solutions, design integrations between enterprise solutions and other client systems, and collaborate with client integration and application support groups in building, testing and implementing integrations. In this role, the person will also support the Project Architect in creating other project-related deliverables and will serve as a key member of the project team(s). Top 3 skills sets: Proven experience in delivering complex integrations by translating business requirements into architectural specifications and validating the technical solution; Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate to users and executives. Self starter with the ability to work independently; Ability to adapt quickly to a project that is in flight and in a non-static environment. Essential Responsibilities: Design and implement integration solutions between enterprise solutions and client systems using client ESB and Informatica platforms. Experience with orchestrated processes and SOA preferred. Provide consulting expertise to all stakeholders to ensure integration solutions meet business , compliance, security, enterprise and operational requirements. Provide architecture guidance for integration and technical issues. Test vendor-supplied Web Services and/or database accesses of enterprise solutions and translate into design artifacts for client Integration Services. Create and maintain integration design artifacts using pre-defined project templates, including process orchestrations, integration mappings, Web Service I/O examples, etc. Quickly gain an understanding of logical and physical data models for enterprise solutions, the components of enterprise solutions and how to integrate with them, and the capabilities of enterprise solutions and how best to utilize them. Actively partner with infrastructure, application and other stakeholders to ensure deployed solutions are implemented seamlessly. Actively participate in project team meetings. Personal initiative, quickly able to grasp new concepts and/or technologies and able to drive resolution of integration issues. Communicate effectively with senior management, key leadership, business peers, IT peers and vendors to solve business/technical problems and provide technical solutions.
