JOB DESCRIPTION:

SAS Credit Analyst will be performing quantitative analysis to gauge the
risk of whole loan mortgage, home equity, marine & RV portfolios. Analysis
and resulting deliverables are high profile, frequently going to senior
management, executives, and the board of directors. The ability to perform
accurate work and produce high quality output under tight timelines is
essential.

The SAS Credit Analyst will create and maintain a tracking database
supporting an initiative to identify and populate data gaps in a legacy
loan portfolio. This includes the exploration of many legacy data sources
in varying formats, submission of requests for missing information to many
business partners, tracking the status of all initiatives, categorizing the
status for senior management, and estimating the level of effort for tasks.
Organizational skills and the ability to synthesize information are
critical for success in this role.

The ideal candidate will have: strong intellectual curiosity, a proactive
attitude, the ability to work well independently and in a team setting, and
good written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrated expertise and
experience working in a dynamic environment focused on Business
Intelligence with consumer lending data is preferred but not required. SAS
experience is a must. Experience with Excel Macro and/or HTML is a plus.

Job Responsibilities:

Produce quantitative analysis on risk attributes of the whole loan
portfolios
Assist and execute generation of monthly and quarterly reports
Reconcile source data and perform quality assurance checks of reports
Provide documentation of processes and procedures
 Response to ad hoc requests
Ability to work under pressure and tight timelines
Ability to Interact and communicate with internal groups efficiently

Minimum Professional and Technical Skills:

Work experience with consumer loans or mortgages is preferred, but not a
requirement
SAS experience is a must
Experience with excel preferred
Experience with Excel macros and/or HTML is a plus
Effective oral and written communication skills.
Ability to work under pressure and tight timelines

Minimum Education, Certification, Training:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, Economics, Statistics,
Mathematics, Actuarial       Science, Engineering, Finance or related field
or equivalent experience
Advanced degree a plus
