Job Title :      Business Analyst *with Claims  *(Insurance Industry)

Location :      Simi Valley, California

Project Duration :          6 Months





Skill Set :



BA - 1 Must have Claims experience Must be very good at technical
documentation Must be self motivated and be able to work with little
direction

BA - 2 Must have Claims experience Must have strong Use Case experience

Generalist BA Must have Claims experience Must have BRD experience; use case
experience would be a plus The successful candidate will have excellent
logic and problem solving skills and a drive to make a difference; creative,
resourceful and innovative at tackling complex challenges in a timely
matter. The Business Analyst will be working closely with most teams within
Claims IT to ensure the delivery of high-performance claims business
applications. Responsibilities include JAD session facilitation,
documentation, and testing and support of n-tier business applications. The
role requires effective interaction as a team player on large, cross-team
initiatives.



Job Description :           There are 3 BA roles to be filled



Experience : Insurance Industry knowledge MANDATORY (*property, casualty,
and health insurance only*)

Proficiency in requirements elicitation, analysis, logical design and
documentation according to standards and practices used in Claims IT ?

Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing ?

Ability to effectively facilitate requirements gathering sessions (JAD
sessions) ?

Capable of consulting with business to provide expertise, impact analysis of
business changes/additions, and possible solutions to resolve business
needs. ?

Working knowledge of System Development Life Cycle (SDLC), and hands-on
experience creating Use Cases, Process Models, and Class and Sequence
Diagrams ?

Develops detailed design specifications for projects and enhancements ?
Support of application testing events including but not limited to User
Acceptance Testing (UAT) ? Proven success working with vendors and on
projects spanning multiple departments and business units ? Familiarity with
user support as well as software troubleshooting skills and techniques ?
Ability to work as a team member with limited supervision ? Ability to
understand and learn new systems and application platforms as this is an
evolving
