Duties & Responsibilites : | IT Business Systems Analyst Job Responsibilities will include:
- Provides analysis, definition, and direction to computer applications related development and maintenance activities.
- Ensures correct business functionality, requirements, and industry standards are addressed within the computer application.
- Develops detailed business user requirements system documentation, workflow procedures.
- Excellent communication skills – oral, written, listening. Good analytical and negotiation skills, and close attention to detail.
- Must have excellent leadership, interpersonal, and motivation skills.
- Must be a team player and be able to adjust to change and cope with bureaucratic processes inherent to governmental agencies.
- Experience working with design, implementation, and support of knowledge management solutions and related technologies for collaborative information sharing
- Assist customers with UAT (user acceptance testing).
- Must have ability to work under tight deadlines and meet deliverables.
- Must have capacity to multitask on multiple projects in parallel.
- Must have ability to stay on top of all project related information at all times.
This position will perform the following:
- Review Technical Documents.
- Collect, develop, analyze, and edit Business Process Diagrams.
- Interview Business Users & Subject Matter Experts.
- Capture Functional, Systems Requirement, and develop Use Cases.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Information System, or 7+ years comparable business Analysis experience.
- Thorough understanding & experience with large Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) project implementations.
- Experience with GAP analysis and strategic roadmap/blueprint development.
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
- Proven ability to transfer knowledge and stay aware of current trends and technical advancements.
- Minimum of 5 years work experience documenting use cases as part of Business Requirements.
- Conduct analysis that identifies current state business process or system inadequacies.
- Minimum of 5 years work experience developing data models, functional requirements definition, requirements elicitation and management
- Minimum of 5 years work experience with Project Oriented Analysis and Design methodologies
- Minimum of 5 years of work experience demonstrating strong problem solving skills.
- Minimum of 5 years of work experience demonstrating issue resolution skills to resolve gaps between the functionality of the application and requirements of the customer.
- Minimum of 5 years of work experience writing and performing application test scripts to ensure the application is performing according to the designer’s specifications and meets customer needs.
- Minimum of 5 years work experience with spreadsheets, word processing, and database software and/or business systems (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project, VISIO).
- Minimum of 5 years work experience with developing AS & To Be business process models and writing Use Cases with clarity.
- Minimum of 5 years work experience understanding concepts governing relational database structures, and user reporting/query tools. |
