Duties & Responsibilites : | REQUIRED SKILLS:
- Elicit and document requirements using interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, surveys, site visits, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, business analysis, task and workflow analysis.
- Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding, and distinguish user requests from underlying needs.
- Proactively communicate and collaborate with external and internal customers to analyze information needs and functional requirements and deliver the following artifacts as needed: use cases, user stories, mockups, business rules, workflows.
- Successfully engage in multiple initiatives simultaneously
- Drive and challenge business units on their assumptions of how they will successfully execute their plans
- Serve as the conduit between the customer community (internal and external customers) and the software development team
- Collaborate with developers and subject matter experts to establish the technical vision and analyze tradeoffs between usability and performance needs.
- Be the liaison between the business units, technology teams and support teams.
QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION: Bachelor's Degree in Business, Computer Science, or related field or equivalent work-related experience with a minimum education requirement of HS Diploma or GED equivalent.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- 5+ years of business analysis for rapid development projects is required, experience in Big 5 consulting firms or top tier systems integration firms preferred.
- Experience on full life-cycle mobile application or salesforce.com projects desired
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group, executives, managers, and SMEs
- Ability to articulate design concepts and solutions verbally and in written documentation
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.
- Proficiency in Enterprise Architect, Blueprint Requirements Center, and MS Access, SQL are a plus
- Experience working with a structured methodology such as RUP or “agile” software development process
- Ability to work independently with minimal direction, experience managing small teams preferred
- Strong categorization/information organization skills
- Must be able to work well in fast-paced, dynamic environments
- Strong analytical and product management skills required, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translate -them into application and operational requirements.
