| Duties & Responsibilites : | -We are seeking a hands-on Java web developer who can communicate and articulate programming fundamentals clearly and concisely.
-Candidates should expect to be coding 100% of their time on this project, and the position is likely to be on-site.
-We will consider non-Java developers who have strong fundamental programming knowledge in any other OOP language but who are also comfortable with transitioning into Java.
-Clear communication is key to win favor with this client.
-As a web developer we expect you to demonstrate knowledge in all tiers of web architecture including the front-end, middle-tier, and backend systems.
-Candidates can expect to spend approximately 30% of their time on the front-end, 60% on the middle-ware, and 10% in the backend.
-Candidates will be expected to code _javascript_, HTML, CSS within JSP pages to remove an IE6 dependency as part of phase
-Ideal candidate will be comfortable coding both front-end GUI on the first phase of the project, and then transition over to the middle-tier integration layer as part of phase-two.
-Phase 2 will begin to upgrade and update the middleware J2EE platform tech-refresh.
-The web application itself accounts for 40% of the revenues for the client so it’s a high availability, and revenue critical application that requires certain level of care to execute.

- Relational Database Familiarity
Candidates should demonstrate sound programming fundamentals:
- Object Oriented Programming Principals
- Data Structures
- Algorithms / Sorting
- Web Concepts (HTTP, TCP/IP, UDP etc).
- Language specific questions
Excellent communication skills are required - California based candidates are preferred but we are open to other options. |
