*Job description:*
The Technical Specialist is a senior level resource with specialized
knowledge and experience in a specific technology such as SharePoint
development or an SAP specialist. The Technical Specialist has an overall
knowledge and understanding of application development and architecture
that serves as a strong base for technical expertise in a specific product
or program.
Role Description:
• Lead experience with technical expertise across large, complex
implementations for enterprise systems.
• Proven experience with a technical specialty across large and complex
implementations and systems.
• Advanced experience in the required technical subject matter.
• Delivers support and design for industry specific applications that
require integration with state-wide systems or applications.
• Interacts with executive level business users or technical experts.
• May function as a niche technical SME.
• Demonstrates expertise in conveying technical and functional concepts for
a specific technical specialty.
• Identifies improvements to project standards to achieve high quality
services/ products.
• Able to identify best practices and standards for the use of the product.
AGENCY ADDED:
The resource will assist the Agency Information Security Officer in the
administration of the agency-wide information security program, its
information security policies, standards and procedures, and achieving
audit and regulatory compliance with its Federal and State business
partners as mandated.
As such, the resource will:
• Perform internal audit / control framework design and
implementation
• Perform control testing and comparing regulations to ensure
controls in place and in compliance
• Conduct regulatory compliance and risk advisory analysis
• Develop audit plans in line with acceptable standards
• Assess policies, standards, procedures, processes and
transactions for effectiveness in meeting regulatory requirements
• Assist with the development, update, and management of Agency
policies, standards, procedures, and the documentation of system processes
and transactions as needed
• Develop data and process flow diagrams to identify gaps
within the company's framework
• Analyze client’s operation using process flows to evaluate
complex work/process flows, responsibilities, and potential gaps in
function and responsibilities
• Assist with engagements to include planning work scope,
organizing, budgeting, and execution of engagement
• Identify gaps in control and effective documentation of
findings and develop remedial actions with management
• Direct client contact to discuss the findings of the
engagements
• Perform special projects and additional duties as assigned

complete written documentation including systems design, technical design
and specifications, and coding to the Department for all tasks and projects
to which personnel are assigned.}
