Duration: 6 Months *Required Qualifications* 3 Years High Level Experience Administering HP-UX Operating System environment on midrange and high end servers in a multi platform environment 3Years exp in HP-UX enterprise patching using SD-UX, 3years exp in installation and configuration HP-UX Operating System on midrange and high end servers 3+ Years exp in building an deploying HP-UX Master Operating System using Ignite. 2-3 years+ Experience in troubleshooting HP-UX 11.X (11.00,11iv1,lliv2) Operating systems 3+years Exp HP-UX NPAR/VPAR Behavior *Skill Sets:* EDI UNIX FTP GIS *Job Description:* Leverage existing processes and tools while identifying and improving gaps to the EDI application. Maintain operations, gather metrics, monitor systems and troubleshoot problems to ensure the integrity of production systems. Work closely with the PepsiCo Engineering and infrastructure team. To help build UNIX expertise within the Test Center. Utilize appropriate test planning, design and management tools in the execution a of test activities and utilize HP Unix serversDefine and implement verification and validation practices, standard and processes in the UNIX test environment Leverage existing processes and tools while identifying and improving gaps relating to the implementation and utilization of test automation/test tools HELP the TEST Center implement HP Openview monitoring solution to be utilized within the test environments. HP_UX/AIX System Adminstrator: Key responsibilities include* Strong working knowledge of HP-UX and AIX OPERATING SYSTEMS AND HARDWARE Develop and execute scripts and other UNIX utilities Define and configure hardware and software components as necessary to support UNIX initiatives. Provide 7X24 on-call support as part of an on call rotation. Work closely with other engineers and operations staff to solve real time issue. Lead/participate in projects of the Systems Engineering team to deliver and support new technology implementations. Contribute to the analysis, design snf build of new/existing servers within the UNIX environment. Recommend and implement policies on system deployment use and services. Develop and implement effective server security and control structure for hosted products and environments. Implement enhance and test high availability a disaster recovery mechanisms.
