*GA* area, for a *Business Intelligence/Data Warehousing Architect. *This position is a *3* *month* contract opportunity. Please let me know if this is something you would be interested in pursuing. The BI/Warehousing Architect will provide senior level business analysis and technical leadership in our new BI efforts. This person will work with our Architecture and Reporting team to design data warehouses and reporting solutions. The expectation is for this person to provide technical leadership and guidance as well as provide hands on implementation, delivery and training for our permanent staff. • Perform an initial assessment of the current implementation and make recommendations for a short term and long term strategy for operationalizing the reporting infrastructure. • Serves as Technical Lead on the project including recommending tools, design and process changes. • Oversees ETL contractor developer and provides Quality Assurance on development • Facilitates the completion of the Data Warehouse project to including assistance in creation and maintenance of project plans, tracking of all technical issues and creation of status reports. • Provides sustainability support model for Data Warehouse and documents. • Plans, coordinates and performs appropriate quality assurance testing • Assist in training of the full-time employees for the project • Educate client management and business users on business value and capabilities of data warehousing • Provide advice and guidance on data warehousing approaches and solutions, and use of data warehousing methodology • Assist in identifying and prioritizing business information needs, and defining business benefit of data warehousing *QUALIFICATIONS*: · 3 to 4 years of experience designing data warehouse solutions · 3 to 4 years of full-time experience in database development with SQL Server data warehousing on SQL Server 2005/2008, SQL Server Analysis Services, SQL Server Integration Services (2 years+), SQL Server Reporting Services · Experience with design/development of OLAP cubes using SQL Server Analysis Services including cube partitioning and support for Slowly Changing Dimensions (SCD) · Relevant experience with dimensional design models in high volume, transaction based environments · MCTS SQL Server 2008 Business Intelligence Development and Maintenance certification a plus · Full Life Cycle Experience in Data Warehouse Design, Development, Tuning and Support · Knowledge of proper cube design for KPI’s, Data Mining Models, Perspectives, and SSAS Security · Expert comprehension of the MDX query language · Experience with SharePoint components relating to OLAP storage solutions such as ProClarity and MS Excel Services.
