Experience:
6+ years of solid Technical engineer operations support experience dealing
with global 24x7 SaaS application production sites, and experience managing
such technical resources.
Experience with high availability, high user and massive (PB+) data
volumes, with clustering, sharding, scaling and globally accessible
architecture, for above technology stack.
2 years + Automation and instrumentation experience with at least two of
Poweshell, Chef, Vagrant and Puppet, Dockers.
3+ years of experience with application performance monitoring tools.
2-3 years’ experience with programming/scripting languages Java and Scala,
python, R, Pig
2-3 years’ experience with continuous integration and continuous delivery
tools.
2-3 years’ experience with multiple cloud computing platforms.
2-3 years’ experience working with massive volumes of data, in Hadoop,
HDFS, HBase, Cassandra and MySQL.
At least 1 to 2 years each of in-depth support expertise for several of
broad range of Big Data related technologies, including some of the
following: Hadoop, HDFS, Hbase, Cassandra, Ambari, Spark, Storm, Flume,
Zookeeper with Java/PHP/Python applications running on Linux(RedHat,
CentOS, Debian, Ubuntu), Solr, Kafka, RabbitMQ and MySQL on a cloud
platform.
Experience working in a 24x7 SaaS / lights-always-on customer facing
environment.
Experience working in a geographically distributed team, and managing such
resources.
