Hi, I'm trying to port my sapdb application to sql server 7/2000 and oracle, due to requests from customers. Seems that there's some significance between between them (especially in sapdb's handling of the auto-increment field:seqno, which is automated in sql server 7/2000), and this makes my porting task quite immense due to the size of the program. Does anyone knows whether there's a method or component that can be used for making an application run on all types of databases?
I know there are such components between sql server 7/2000 and oracle, but dun think sapdb is compatible. What other alternatives do we have? Note that i used basic SQL functions. Would appreciate if someone can give an idea or direction. Thanks! Rgds, Joshua --- Outgoing mail is certified Virus Free. Checked by AVG anti-virus system (http://www.grisoft.com).
