There ain't one yet.

Even when a CVS server is finally established, at least for the foreseable
future, it will be a mirror (because we're using Perforce internally). If
you've got small patches, send them to the mailing list. If you plan some
major changes, discuss them in the mailing list first. The source releases
are currently trailing our internal development, so it may be wise to wait
until we synchronize the two.

Using 'configure' is definitely a priority, changing to 'make' much less so.

You're welcome, but there is no reason why they shouldn't be separate
projects. Note that you can send all administrations commands though Perl,
Python and Java, giving you a wide range of both GUI and automation options.
