How we may be able to keep track on the others of the team ? Sending Patches over the ML is not very effective. How are we notified upon changes ? Right now, is a new Sopurce released. (V7.3.18) It's VERY ugly to have to download all new again.... and again ... and again. This is definitely anti-productive.
I suggest immediately to change over to CVS, it take one hour of time to do so. I did it as a example on saturday, downing and creating a CVS repository with anonyous and named write access and eMail notify to write members took me on hour. I established a Website: http://sapdb.automatix.de and ther is a test-CVS Repository for SAP-DB also. You may test this try on: cvs -d :pserver:[EMAIL PROTECTED]:/home/fileserver/cvs login Password: cvs cvs -z4 -d :pserver:[EMAIL PROTECTED]:/home/fileserver/cvs co \ sapdb Within that dir sapdb/ exist "DevTool", "V73.00.17", "jdbc", "htmldocs-7.3" and my contributed "examples". My little example is a small common opensourced Makefile-ed/cpc test-prg which just connect to a SAP-DB and then disconnect and exits. > Even when a CVS server is finally established, at least for the > foreseable future, it will be a mirror (because we're using > Perforce internally). We have some problems whith the cpc precompiler in Linux (See the Message in the List). So we will do nearly imediately changes in the cpc Sources. > Using 'configure' is definitely a priority, changing to 'make' much less so. That's sounds not good, because it points IMHO in the relly wrong direction. mfG J.
