Hello Folks,

I finally managed to get Satchmo running on my local windows machine.
In the end, the trick seemed to be to stay away from the 64 bit
installers even though I have a 64 bit machine. But now I have a new
challenge. My web development firm is looking to use Satchmo for
sites for a number of upcoming customers. Due to special
circumstances, using VPS servers really isn't much of an option for
us. I know this is a restriction many of you cringe at, but if you
don't mind, bite the bullet and bear with me on this one. I'm trying
to discern how feasible it is to package my site code up such that
satchmo and all the non-standard dependencies are included.

1. Is this, in principle, as simple as including the various modules
(like "keyedcache" and "livesettings", as well as satchmo itself) from
the site-packages folder to the root of my local site? Is there a way
to get the imports to work, and just include all the code in the site
folder?

2. Are there any real gotchas as far as dependencies are concerned?
The server company says they have python imaging and pycrypto
installed, but I don't see reportlab or pyYAML on the list - can I
repackage these in the site, or are there reasons why this simply
wouldn't work?

3. Granted I don't have shell access to the root, is there any way to
fudge it for things like "syncdb" and the like? Can I invoke syncdb
from a script on a page, and return the output to a template?

Again, I know this is hack city here, but I'd love any advice you guys
have within these constraints.
