JC, Try getting set up to make a PayPal payment. Then, on the last "confirm" page, look at the source.
There will be an IPN url. Note it. Now confirm. Now, go and manually hit that IPN. It may be that it won't work because the referrer isn't paypal, but does the URL resolve?
