Hi,

I also wonder what the right approach would be. To solve a similar issue
I have created a template filter which I add after the typical satchmo
price template filters . As the argument you give the number of
customizations.

I utilised this to implemenent country dependent currency for the shop
(and show the right currency before login). Of course it is a bit
"ridiculous" to reconvert the final price string back to a number and
currency but in practice it works. The advantage is that you do not
have to mess arround with the existing satchmo filters and keep the code
clean. I only wonder whether there are more elegant solutions.

Regards,

marc

Subject: Dynamic Pricing Model

Hi,
l
I'm going to setup a custom t-shirt store using Satchmo. The product
price is based on the number of colors that user designed. I have the
price sheet look like below:
1 -> 5 colors: + 1$
5 -> 10 colors: + 3$
> 10: +5$

In order to utilize the Satchmo checkout process, look like I have to
create a custom product on the fly for each designed tshirt, but I
cannot figure out how to apply the price sheet. Do you have any
suggestions/hints on this?
