I very well might.  (The latter, that is, not the former. ;-)  I
wanted to a) see whether anyone else was having this problem, b)
understand why the bug was closed as invalid (since no explanation was
given in the bug report), and c) find out if anyone had already come
up with a fix (as opposed to a workaround).

Apologies if I came across as hypercritical or whiny -- it wasn't
meant that way.  A little patience would have been appreciated,
though.
