IIRC, I had some missing orders in the past.
I haven't hard a complaint for quite a while.

Those are the things that may have helped.
* I'm using satchmo 0.9.2
* I stopped using the distribution and host modules and installed my own satchmo module dependencies manually.
* Installed and configured memcached

I don't have any more problems with paypal and authorize.net. I never used sagepay.

Check this message by Bruce Kroeze.
If you delete a product that is part of an order, the order will also be deleted. This may not be what is happening to your shop tho...
