it doesn't even have to be that planed out if we have a permanent space then Saturday house (despite the name) could potentially meet every day of the week. as the space is available. for ovbious reasons that isn't how it will work out, but the concept is whats more important. the knowledge that there is a place that you can go and any time of the day to work on whatever you want is a concept that gives me great pleasure to think about. the idea is that, yes we have planned events, yes certain groups get together on certain days, yes more people will be there in the evening than the morning. however you should be able to show up at 2 in the morning and be able to work on your project. (god knows that i have sat bolt upright at 3:30 am with the just the idea i need to finish that one project that has been lurking under my bed for two months, more than once) this is what i look forward to in Saturday house, and its not something that i am going to sit around and wait to happen ether, if we want this to get done we have to actually do something. for me i can provide labor and the parts i have available (its quite the list believe me) however as far as money goes, i have none. i live paycheck to paycheck, and i know that there is bound to be other just like me. if forced to i would find a way to pay the $30 a month (some of you may think "its only $30" well when your budgeted down to the last cent it may as well be a million as the amount is totally arbitrary at that point. from the looks of it we will likely be in a place that could be described as very rough (more than likely that will be an overstatement) if thats the case i feel that i could lead an effort to clean up and build sections that would be used for conferences or presentations or what have you. or build work stations or whatever is necessary to add value. the way i see it as long as you contribute that is what is important. at this point we can afford to be idle. its been said before, and it will be said again, we need to stop sitting around waiting for someone to do something, we must be that someone, we must be the ones acting.
