I am trying to install savane at a Debian 3.0 host.
I got the tar file savane-1.0.6.tar.gz, and followed the instructions
provided at install.VERBOSE.
I got the prerrequisites installed:
GNU utilities.
mailx
exim
APACHE
apache (configured to work locally, 127.0.0.1).
apache-ssl
apache-perl
PERL
perl
libdbi-perl
libdbd-mysql-perl
libdigest-md5-perl
libmail-sendmail-perl
PHP
php4
phplib
MYSQL
mysql-server
mysql-client
webmin-core
webmin-mysql
I also created a local user usrsavane ( both in the system and the database
). Following the instructions, i executed:
./configure
make
make database
make config
make install
All without noticeable errors. The database was created an filled in.
I still have not loaded the skills ( what does exactly "run sv_skills" mean ?
How do I run that ? ).
Then I configured Apache in order to see the main page ( I chose to put it as
a subdirectory of the homepage ( http://127.0.0.1/savane ).
However, when I request that page all I get is a white page. The mysql and
apache logs show normal activity and no errors, so I am a little be
confused.
Could you please give me any hint about what is going wrong ?
I give you a log of the installation process.
