Thank you very much for your suggestions. In fact, it was a rather simple
problem: The mysql user I used for the installation ( usrsavane ) did not
have permissions to access the savane database. I thought the script that
generates de database also inserts the grants, but it is not the case.
I suggest including this step in the code. It will help future installers a
lot.
It was somewhat amazing, because the mysql log showed activity, and no errors
(?).
When I manually set those permissions, everything worked.
