Follow-up Comment #3, sr #1542 (project savane):
The frontend/ directory is a classical PHP+MySQL application and can be
installed separately.
Installing the front-end is not handled by 'make install' because there's no
way to know where your Apache DocumentRoot is located.
I can't say that the installation procedure is meant for non-root
installations. It is possible, but you'll need a bit of knowledge about how
to manually install a webapp.
