All over the years it has been a good measure not to reveal the poster's
email address, showing only person's name as, for example, <dora>:

This seems to have changed since Aug 18. Now the email address is shown
in full.
It's an invitation to yet more spam and abuse. Could we please go back
to the previous configuration?
As far as I can see, the change is not in the mailing list, but in the
CVS hook that generates the commit mail. The From: address in the latest
messages, e.g.,
https://lists.gnu.org/archive/html/www-commits/2025-08/msg00211.html
shows just the real name, while the line in the body

has indeed changed to show a full address.
I hope someone else (Ineiev) can change things back. I'm not in that
loop ... -k
