OK, so we have server-side commit notifications since last month.
Things are improving.
The inotify support needs a daemon per project afaik, this isn't scalable.
Using the latest version of bzr with a ssh + smart server access requires a
change in the current installation and a migration of existing bzr projects.
This looks like the way to go in the long run but this will take more time
than using the existing infrastructure.
