Looks like a coincidence of two mistakes on my part. 1) There was a delay
(long, like 2 days?) in the change of the alternative becoming visible. I
thought it would be instantaneous. 2) I was struggling with pushing my repo,
and thought the problem was with the re-direct. So no, I don't have any
problems with the mirrors any more. I'll revert to the standard. Thx.
