Sorry for the silence, I'm still on this but I have no new idea as of now. We are planning a coding session with David next week in order to prepare the next stable release. We shall look at this together.. One thing though: ogg/flac metadata _should_ be present. However, many player do not support them. In order to properly test this, you should download a part of your live stream and use ogginfo (from vorbis-tools on Debian/brew) to check the resulting data.
