Hi, it's been a long time since I needed to contact the list for help
(nine
years!). I'm running LS 092 (due to software/hardware incompatibility.
My
production server uses LS 1.0.0.2 (FreeBSD). Both have worked just
great
until
I started working on my New Season about a month ago.
The issue occurs when I check the liq code using 'liquidsoap -c
xxxx.liq'
it
barfs and give the error message:
"char 24 [before "%'} Parse error."
The full code for that line:
"[output.icecast(%mp3(bitrate=32,mono),"
All six output lines of code for 6 streams give same error message.
This is
exactly the same code that is currently running on the existing six
streams.
I'm totally stumped on this one!
Ideas or help?
What version are you upgrading to? Would you mind filling up a bug
report here:
https://github.com/savonet/>liquidsoap/issues/new?template=bug_report.md
Thanks!
Romain
Hi Romain,
Unfortunately, I cannot upgrade locally or on the remote production server
due to different hardware/software setups.
I am not upgrading but adding six new streams to the existing twelve
already running.
What puzzles me is that if I run, on the current production setup,
'liquidsoap -c xxxx.liq' on a stream's code, it gives the same message --
but it is working OK! Perhaps, the error message is bogus??
I have run identical output code on three or four 'New Seasons' without
any problems (last 'New Season ' was done in 2017).
Since my LS version locally is extremely outdated (with no possibility of
upgrading to a newer version), I'll hold off on filing a bug report.
Have you ever run into this error message?
Thanks,
kronos
