Hello,

Just an update after my flurry of notes about a year ago. Work in a radio
station and teaching became incredibly hectic, filling every day
unexpectedly.

But, furthermore, the pre-release version of 1.4.0 that you helped tweak
with crossfades, etc., carried on working very faithfully, without
interruption, for many months.

Only today, after a long long time, have I had a moment to upgrade to the
github version of 1.4.1 (not released).

It's come back to life, of course, and isn't giving any troubles.

Thanks for the continued development. Small-scale DAB will, in a few
months, be licenced widely in the UK after successful tests, and there will
doubtless be more customization of Liquidsoap for the broadcasters that
will bloom. We hope.

You may remember: this is the private, in-house-only stream that
automatically inserts four different news bulletins into the spaces between
the tracks, each hour, using the Telnet interface—and automatically
analyzes each track to pick the best start and end points having regard to
average audio level, sudden ends, fade-outs, etc.

http://warblefly.sytes.net:8000/audio.aac for listening in the car.

with best wishes,
JW
