Thank you very much, Darth Emacs, I've polished the wiki page. However, you went *unrecommendable* way. You should use the package manager to avoid troubles, especially after upgrading. It's common to get into troubles, from for example interference of old files.
In debian, there's precompiled packages, since Chris uses Debian. deb-src is also there. Teika (Teika kazura)
