The new page looks great Tieka kazura! I've been trying to install sawfish 1.8.90 from Flashrider's deb repository. I have a clean Debian 6.0 without desktop in place. I've modified my /etc/apt/sources.list file to include wheezy and sid. I then added the apt.nanolx.org repository. Using aptitude doesn't give any errors with 'aptitude update' but apt with 'apt-get update' does give me errors. I tried to correct the error using apt-pinning and calling the nanolx.org repo as 'release a=photonic' but it still didn't correct the error.
The reason this is a concern for me is that I use dselect for choosing specific versions of what I want to install. Dselect uses apt-get. I can't see inside the nanolx repo to force a specific version install. I have set up my apt-pinning to give nanolx.org the highest pinning. I'm going to jump into this install blind. I am installing on a different machine so will get back to you on what version of sawfish got installed sqeeze/wheezy/sid/photonic. I am trying what feels like the best bet for a sawfish 1.8.90 install since with encryption and my bandwidth each install takes 5-6 hours. Here is the error I get out of apt-get update: # apt-get update Hit http://debian.uchicago.edu squeeze Release.gpg Ign http://debian.uchicago.edu/debian/ squeeze/contrib Translation-en Ign http://debian.uchicago.edu/debian/ squeeze/contrib Translation-en_US Hit http://security.debian.org squeeze/updates Release.gpg Ign http://security.debian.org/ squeeze/updates/contrib Translation-en Ign http://security.debian.org/ squeeze/updates/contrib Translation-en_US Ign http://debian.uchicago.edu/debian/ squeeze/main Translation-en Ign http://debian.uchicago.edu/debian/ squeeze/main Translation-en_US Ign http://debian.uchicago.edu/debian/ squeeze/non-free Translation-en Ign http://security.debian.org/ squeeze/updates/main Translation-en Ign http://security.debian.org/ squeeze/updates/main Translation-en_US Ign http://security.debian.org/ squeeze/updates/non-free Translation-en Ign http://security.debian.org/ squeeze/updates/non-free Translation-en_US Hit http://security.debian.org squeeze/updates Release Ign http://debian.uchicago.edu/debian/ squeeze/non-free Translation-en_US Hit http://debian.uchicago.edu wheezy Release.gpg Ign http://debian.uchicago.edu/debian/ wheezy/contrib Translation-en Ign http://debian.uchicago.edu/debian/ wheezy/contrib Translation-en_US Ign http://debian.uchicago.edu/debian/ wheezy/main Translation-en Ign http://debian.uchicago.edu/debian/ wheezy/main Translation-en_US Ign http://debian.uchicago.edu/debian/ wheezy/non-free Translation-en Get:1 http://apt.nanolx.org photonic Release.gpg [490 B] Ign http://apt.nanolx.org/ photonic/main Translation-en Hit http://security.debian.org squeeze/updates/main Sources Ign http://debian.uchicago.edu/debian/ wheezy/non-free Translation-en_US Hit http://debian.uchicago.edu sid Release.gpg Ign http://debian.uchicago.edu/debian/ sid/contrib Translation-en Hit http://security.debian.org squeeze/updates/contrib Sources Hit http://security.debian.org squeeze/updates/non-free Sources Hit http://security.debian.org squeeze/updates/main i386 Packages Hit http://security.debian.org squeeze/updates/contrib i386 Packages Hit http://security.debian.org squeeze/updates/non-free i386 Packages Ign http://debian.uchicago.edu/debian/ sid/contrib Translation-en_US Ign http://debian.uchicago.edu/debian/ sid/main Translation-en Ign http://debian.uchicago.edu/debian/ sid/main Translation-en_US Ign http://debian.uchicago.edu/debian/ sid/non-free Translation-en Ign http://debian.uchicago.edu/debian/ sid/non-free Translation-en_US Hit http://debian.uchicago.edu squeeze Release Hit http://debian.uchicago.edu wheezy Release Hit http://debian.uchicago.edu sid Release Hit http://debian.uchicago.edu squeeze/main Sources Hit http://debian.uchicago.edu squeeze/contrib Sources Hit http://debian.uchicago.edu squeeze/non-free Sources Hit http://debian.uchicago.edu squeeze/main i386 Packages Hit http://debian.uchicago.edu squeeze/contrib i386 Packages Hit http://debian.uchicago.edu squeeze/non-free i386 Packages Get:2 http://debian.uchicago.edu wheezy/main i386 Packages/DiffIndex [2,038 B] Get:3 http://debian.uchicago.edu wheezy/contrib i386 Packages/DiffIndex [2,023 B] Get:4 http://debian.uchicago.edu wheezy/non-free i386 Packages/DiffIndex [2,023 B] Get:5 http://debian.uchicago.edu sid/main i386 Packages/DiffIndex [2,038 B] Get:6 http://debian.uchicago.edu sid/contrib i386 Packages/DiffIndex [2,023 B] Get:7 http://debian.uchicago.edu sid/non-free i386 Packages/DiffIndex [2,023 B] Ign http://apt.nanolx.org/ photonic/main Translation-en_US Get:8 http://apt.nanolx.org photonic Release [4,426 B] Fetched 12.7 kB in 5s (2,397 B/s) W: Failed to fetch http://apt.nanolx.org/dists/photonic/Release Unable to find expected entry main/binary-i386/Packages in Meta-index file (malformed Release file?)
