I think the answer is that using the domain name for instances of that
role will randomly (or maybe round-robin) select an instance of that
role. That doesn't guarantee that the instance we select will be the
lightest loaded instance, but in general all instances will be loaded
to about the same level.

Is that correct? If not, please clarify.
