HI Sebastian Basically rightgrid allows users to setup clusters by setting up a job queue and cluster parameters (like number of machines...type of ami etc). Once you setup rightgrid the system will ask for scripts to run during processing. It will also scale compute resources dynamically based on the number of jobs etc.
The following is a link to the youtube video that properly explains rightgrid. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DSasPNOk8ys Secondly, I tried to mess about with Panda. Did not like it that much. So i manually installed php-ffmpeg and ffmpeg. I am working on a scalable transcode cluster using development.scalr.net. I would like to help out where ever possible. I am half way through the process. Just have to fine tune a few bugs.
