Thank you Igor. That's exactly the answer I was looking for and explains everything. I knew there 'were' mixed roles, and that they were only LAMPs, that's fine. Itwas just that I have had a few clients who only wanted abasic LAMP. It's no problem at all to create a new ones using Ubuntu 12.04form the builder, it makes total sense as Sebastian advises and in fact I would rather do so than use the older 10.04 ones for the very reason you have deprecated them.

Mystery solved....!

I think the issue is that Scalr doesn't provide mixed roles, since
there would be too many combinations. The intended process is to
use the role builder to create the desired mixed role, then it
appears in the mixed role category of the farm builder.

        Hi Sebastian

As in cloud keys you mean AWS access keys? In which case yes,
and other images/roles are launching ok, and yes, under hosted
Scalr. I have a couple of clients with this issue now. The
mixed role option appears to be greyed out for clients who
don't have their own self created mixed image roles in place,
and, if it is greyed out, and they create a mixed role then it
becomes accessible again, but only shows the roles they have
created themselves, not the Scalr provided mixed roles.

My own account is displaying this exact symptom. Happy to log
a support request in the support forum?

This shouldn't be the case. I assume they all have their

            Hi

Just wondering if the Scalr created mixed role has/is
been phased out? I have mixed access to it, some of my
clients can get to it while for others the new mixed role
            selection option is greyed out.

Or, is it now up to the client to create versions themselves?

            Any advice appreciated.
