Hi Bob and the group,
I am all for having a presentation at each meeting. The topics sound great! I
will put Feb. 7th on my calendar. Suggestions for additional programs: 1.)
Software Defined Radio 2:) Build an application or driver from source if that
is not part of the "Packaging Software" topic. 3.) Scrip programming.
Presentations could include What, Why, How, Examples and Discussion.
Dave
P.S. I finally got Fedora 10 Live CD to boot after install: I modified GRUB
menu.lst and fstab to replace the UUIDs with /dev/sda7 in the install on sda7.
The Fedora 10 boot loader is installed in /sda7 boot record. I multiboot from
the menu.lst in hdb5 which the MBR points to. The entry in the hdb5 menu.lst
for Fedora 10 is:
title Fedora 10 ...
root (hd0,6)
chainloader +1
There still may be a problem in the boot process but this is a work-a-round for
it. Thanks to Jason Cross for the hint on replacing the UUIDs!
