Apparently Google stopped accepting applications from mentoring
projects around the time Nicolas sent this email last night.

I simply didn't recognize that they were running this operation like a
radio station giving away concert tickets (free to the first 80
emails!).  I'm mad at myself for not just sending in an email
immediately, but I'm madder at Google for running this is such an
amateurish way.  I already submitted a story to Slashdot about it  ;-)
